Duane Arthur Lueders was born February 27, 1941 to the parents of Willard Arthur Lueders and Theresa Ann (Klescewski) Lueders at Ovitz Hospital, Laona Wisconsin. My Dad managed the Silver Lake Tavern and Dance Hall for his mother during my early years. Big name bands from Chicago and Milwaukee played here during the summer months. During my childhood we moved numerous times do to my father's employment. my grade school years were at St Aloysuis in West Allis, Wisconsin, one year at Pope Pius XI HS in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, then graduating from Griffith HS, Griffith, Indiana in 1959. I immediately joined the U.S. Navy after high school. My career spand
26 years before retiring as a Radioman Chief Petty Officer in 1985. My
career took me to many interesting places in Europe, the Pacific, and
Middle East. "Join the Navy and See the World" was definitely a true
statement! During my tour in Naples, Italy we were blessed with the birth of my daughter, Eleni. After the Navy I went to work for Lockheed Martin, Grand Prairie, Texas where I spent fourteen years before retiring in 2001. In January 2001 I moved to Georgetown, Texas we then built a home in Lago Vista, Texas in 2002 where we presently live. |
